The best protection against constantly growing mortgage interest rates and a clear preference of those interested in mortgages is long term fixation and securing an unchanging level of monthly payments until the end of the term of the mortgage. This is supported by two independent pieces of research, which CSOB commissioned at the start of this year from TNS AISA and CONFESS Research. The results of both aforementioned pieces of research aimed at the consumer behavior of those interested in mortgages clearly shows, that clients increasingly prefer the security of unchanged levels of monthly payments and fixation for the longest possible period.
