Evanescence's Fallen Rises to 7x Multi-Platinum in June WASHINGTON - Soulful singer-songwriter Duffy's debut album Rockferry on Mercury achieved Gold status within one month of its release, according to the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) monthly Gold & Platinum count for June. This is the first certification for the Welsh-born artist to commemorate sales of more than 500,000 albums.Additional first Gold records went to Warner Bros. recording artist Ashley Tisdale for both her debut album Headstrong and her popular single ‘He Said, She Said,' and pop-rockers Metro Station for their single ‘Shake It.' Tisdale, well known for her role as Sharpay Evans in Disney's High School Musical and High School Musical 2, is featured on both of the film's soundtracks which have each gone 3x and 4x multi-Platinum, respectively.
