[...] 21 Mar 2008 On 1 April 2008, the Czech National Bank will put into circulation a new 2008 version of the CZK 1000 banknote, which contains new protective elements compared with the older versions. The existing version of this banknote, which was put into circulation in 1996, remains legal tender.
