Citi Supports inJAz Bahrain, Sponsors "Banks in Action" Program

... Manama – Citi Foundation, a member of Citi, recently announced the sponsorship of "Banks in Action" program aimed at educating school students in Bahrain about the banking industry. An amount of USD 40,000 will be invested by Citi for the Banks in Action program, which will be conducted in association with inJAz Bahrain. The Banks in Action program will reach out to more than 1,200 students of government and private schools in Bahrain during 2008. With the last year's sponsorship from Citi Foundation, inJAz Bahrain delivered the Banks in Action program to14 secondary schools covering 540 students. Conducted by Citibank and other banks' volunteers, the program will cover key concepts of how banks work, understanding of banking products and services, plus creating awareness of potential career opportunities in banking.
