SàO PAULO, Brazil, August 27, 2008 (SET Broadcast and Cable, Booth # 01/02) — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, announces that Brazil's TV Anhanguera Network has officially launched its central high-definition (HD) broadcast operation using a Harris end-to-end, HD broadcast solution. Harris equipment is also used for seven other TV Anhanguera station sites that plan to transition to HD at a future date. A key component of the Harris solution at TV Anhanguera is the new ISDB-Tb transmission platform, which allows ISDB-Tb broadcasters to deliver digital TV, HDTV and mobile TV channels to consumer TV sets and mobile/handheld devices.
