... On August 14, 2008 a study was published in the USA which concludes that moisturizing cream may promote skin cancer in mice. The mice were exposed to UVB radiation and subsequently Dermabase cream, Dermovan, Vanicream, and Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream were applied. These mice showed a higher number of tumours than mice treated with a placebo solution. However, the authors themselves warn that the findings should not be transposed directly to human beings.After the study was published last week in the USA, independent scientists immediately criticized its seriousness.
